This sophisticated technology lets us brief AI on our research questions, which then engages with participants in-the-moment. Here’s how it works:
- Image analysis: Participants upload an image of say, a coffee shop display. AI instantly then breaks down its content, identifying key elements and context for the photo. This can include emotion and overall vibe, like if the coffee shop is busy and generates intelligent follow-up questions. In this way we can delve deeper into the participant’s experience and perceptions related to the image.
- Video/ audio analysis: When participants share videos or audio, these are automatically transcribed. Based on that transcript, AI asks follow-up questions (like ‘how was the coffee? was there anything you didn’t like about it?’) that encourage participants to elaborate on their thoughts and feelings.
- Text analysis: For text-based inputs, AI reviews the content alongside their other responses and poses relevant questions in the same way.
